Woman, wife, mom. I was a teacher for a while. I have been a business owner, a direct sales consultant, a teacher again, and now a blogger.
I am what they call EXTRA. You know that girl (maybe you are that girl) who likes all the shiny things? Who always brings 4 outfits for each day of a weekend trip? Who looks up all the restaurant options, because food is important? Who takes the pictures and makes the videos? – Yeah, that’s me!
Clothes and accessories are fun. I geek out at the idea of finding that perfect pair of jeans that fit my butt just right. You too? You are definitely in the right place then.
I like things that sparkle. Not just in the obnoxious, third grade art project way, but things that make me sparkle. When we sparkle, everyone gets to see how extraordinary we can be.
Me and My Closet
You’re not crazy. Once we hit 40 ladies, a lot of clothing is no longer marketed to us. Suddenly the fashion industry thinks we only wear moo-moos and polyester pants.
We know better! For the longest time, I worried that my style was “too young” looking. But the other lovely thing that comes with being over 40, is that I no longer care what other people think about my style. I will not go into the last half of my life wearing clothes that don’t make me feel my best just to fit some mold for my age. I find great looks (that are also comfy) from Pink Lily, Amazon, and other boutiques. While I do receive a small commission from PL and The Zon (when you shop from my link) I will give honest reviews and will always be looking for new places too.

Date Night
Yep. It is a major event around here. My husband, The Coach, is very low key. He is NOT extra. But he loves me and thinks my selfie taking, food reviewing, menu dissecting is very cute. We like to find non-chain (or small chain) restaurants that offer great food and a unique drink menu. If I love it, you will know. If I do not, you will know that too.
