Thanksgiving 22 was hosted at the Key Castle this year and I have to say it was a success.
We cleaned, we cooked, we ate… a lot.
No one got wasted (at least not until I put my feet up after everyone left). No one talked politics – Shew Thank Goodness. No one got food poisoning (especially since I cooked). We did it.
Y’all come here for the clothing looks (and I am getting to that), but I have to let you in on why this Thanksgiving success was so important. My mom died in February and this was our first holiday (that she always hosted) since then.
So this is why you are getting the Thanksgiving 22 recap rather than a “What to Wear” to eat turkey, beforehand. I knew that this holiday would be tough but I did NOT anticipate this level of tough. Be kind to your friends who are grieving this holiday season. Allow them to be sad, or happy, or in recovery mode.
Alright…. enough of that. I am sure I will share more about Mom later, but now we talk outfits.

Yes, my bed isn’t made and there is a solo cup on my bedside table…. but LOOK AT THIS OUTFIT!!!
How cute is this???
These jeans are still available at Pink Lily here -> Dani Light Wash High Waisted Split Hem Jeans
Now let me tell you about these girls…. they are sooooo comfortable! The high waist made it easy to eat all the things this Thanksgiving without ever unbuttoning the top button!!
And the Sweater is the Long Days Ahead Cardigan also from Pink Lily. It is a great stand alone sweater, but I put a tank under it. Super Duper soft since it is a chenille type material. The only downside was that it shed on anyone I hugged. Hoping that will subside once I wash it a few times.

Me and the girl in our jBloom.
My necklace and earrings are from this month’s Bloom Box. They have been my go-to silver this month. The link necklace with the blue pendant bead is from a past Bloom Box (August I think). You can check out all about the jBloom subscription boxes here.
My girl here is wearing the Maggie necklace. It is rose gold and just enough to give some sparkle.
This Thanksgiving 22 we are thankful for family, friends and time. Time together. Time for memories. Time to do the things that make us happy.
